Lawrence Stallman, Ph.D.

Dr Stallman has been helping individual adults, couples and families, for over 40 years. His approach is active and participatory. He works with his clients to clarify their goals and help them to move through impasses. Dr. Stallman understands that it is often difficult to articulate the nature of our "stuckness." He works with his clients collaboratively, with deep compassion, experience and a sense of humor, to find the words, and identify the feelings, that underly presenting problems. He supports clients in pursuit of their highest levels of engagement in activities, relationships and work.

In his role as an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Dr. Stallman has worked with other professionals to improve treatment strategies in their work with couples and families.

In addition to his work as a therapist, supervisor and teacher, Dr. Stallman also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts, and is a sculptor and musician. He finds it especially rewarding to work with creative people who are seeking more freedom and deeper inspiration in their creative work.
